ROME 的“军事氛围系列”以其阴郁的工业音景——主要由修复的时代音频素材构成——将我们带回欧洲血腥的过去，当时——就像现在一样——各种意识形态在欧洲的土地上互相厮杀，殊死搏斗。该系列的第五部也是最后一部聚焦于瑞士最著名的士兵吉桑将军的生平和遗产，他最为人铭记的是在 1940 年有效动员瑞士军队和民众，以应对可能爆发的德国入侵。

从《城堡》（2019 年）和《花园与街道》（2020 年）开始，后来在《飞行员之家》（2021 年）和《飞天与石碑》（2023 年）中得到扩展，在《紫菀与雪绒花》中迎来了第五部也是最后一部。 ROME 通过复杂的样本作品和梦幻般的、充满黑暗优雅和脆弱优雅的风琴驱动序列，邀请听众进入一段阴沉的声音漫游：一段身临其境、惊心动魄的旅程，进入责任、毅力和牺牲的领域。

ROME’s ‘Martial Ambient Series’ with its bleak, industrial soundscapes - mostly made of restored period audio material - transports us back to Europe’s blood-drenched past, when - much like now - ideologies were battling each other to the death on European soil. This fifth and final instalment of the series focuses on the life and legacy of General Guisan, Switzerland’s most famous soldier, best remembered for effectively mobilising the Swiss military and population in preparation against a possible German invasion in 1940.

What started with ‘Käferzeit’ (2019) and ‘Gärten und Straßen’ (2020) and was later expanded on ‘Haus der Flieger’ (2021) and ‘Blätter und Steine’ (2023) finds its fifth and final rendition in ‘Aster und Edelweiss’. ROME invite the listener onto a sombre sonic wandering via intricate sample work and dream-like, organ-driven sequences full of dark grace and fragile elegance: An immersive and breathtaking journey into the realm of duty, perseverance and sacrifice.
