Australia's WOODS OF DESOLATION have quietly become one of the world’s preeminent atmospheric black metal exponents. Started as a solo project in 2005 by multi-instrumentalist D., it has been honed over almost two decades and dozens of recordings into a vessel of sublime beauty and sadness. After more than a decade of cult fandom among black metal’s underground, ‘As The Stars’ (2014) earned Woods of Desolation critical acclaim.
