ROTTING CHRIST stand as pillars of Hellenic black metal: since 1987, the band have carved out a singular sound that merges extremity, ancient heritage, and ritualistic atmosphere. With ‘Aealo’ (2010), they reached a decisive turning point in their evolution.

This newly re-recorded edition brings renewed fire and clarity to one of the most ambitious works in their catalogue. Completely revitalised with modern production and a far stronger mix, ‘Aealo’ emerges more cinematic than ever: female lamentation choirs, martial percussion, folkloric melodies, and commanding riff-work collide in a sweeping vision of war, tragedy, and pagan spirituality. Guest appearances by Diamanda Galás and Alan A. Nemtheanga (Primordial) heighten the album’s mythic presence, while the enhanced dynamics reveal layers previously buried in the original recording.
